Non Surgical Facelift Treatment
What is a non-surgical Thread Lift?
Back in the day, the only solution to concurring a loss of facial elasticity and collagen would be to go under the knife. But, due to recent improved aesthetic technology, there are several treatments that can be undergone for tighter, firmer and smoother looking skin. If you suffer from a Sagging Face and Jowls, for instance, your options may vary from Dermal Fillers to Skin Peels.
Although these are both highly effective, it isn’t always a preferred solution for clients who either want results that last longer or dislike needles. Due to this reasoning, we are proud to be able to provide our clients with a new procedure that has been specially developed to give our clients the option of non-invasive facial rejuvenation, but with the results of surgery.
The Collagen Thread lift, a new procedure that we now offer at our Liverpool aesthetics clinic, is a treatment that promotes the production of facial elasticity and instantly gives the results of lifted skin. Instead of a scalpal removing the excess skin, one of our highly skilled and experienced clinicians simply hooks the skin using special medical-grade surgical threads and essentially, pulls the tissue up with them.

How Collagen Thread Lifts Work
While the threads start to lift, it has another diverse effect on the tissue surrounding them that results in tighter, firmer-looking skin. As the threads are made of a protein-based substance, they relax the face’s tendons and muscles, while the body starts its natural process of healing. During healing, our body improves on its blood flow around the traumatised areas of the facial dermis by producing fibroblasts which stimulate the production of new collagen.
Collagen, being the protein-led strengthening component of the skin, bones and tendons is what keeps our facial skin looking supple, plump and younger-looking; as well as Hyaluronic Acid and Neocollagenesis which both play essential roles in this healing process, too. Lacking in these natural factors of the skin’s tissue results in sagging, wrinkling and an increased look of lines; so, by causing a wounding effect to the dermis, the fibroblasts improve on these fibres. Thus, being a fantastic procedure for anti-ageing and scar minimising purposes.
Again, this treatment allows you to bank this new collagen for a longer period to create a voluminous look; many clients undergo this treatment to charge their faces with new collagen for this reason alone. What the healing components essentially do is create scaffolding mesh and fibrin over the wound to protect it and hold the new collagen in place; or, bank it.
What Areas Can Be Treated with a Collagen Thread Lift?
This thread lift procedure is usually carried out in order to tighten the look of the jawline, eyebrows, neck and cheeks for a smoother, more defined appearance. As we aim to provide each and every client with their desired results, we can personalise this treatment to suit your needs if we feel that it is your best option with the area that you want to treat.
Am I Suitable for The Collagen Thread Lift?
This procedure is designed for both men and women, and as the method is essentially a non-invasive, non-surgical version of a face-lift, we recommend this treatment for anybody over the age of 30+ that are looking to shred years back off of their appearance. For optimal results, you can also combine this procedure with Dermal Fillers for an even more firm approach.
What Should I Expect After a Collagen Thread Lift?
Even though this procedure comes with next to no side effects, we still like to educate our clients on what they could experience during and after treatment. While undergoing the procedure, you may feel a slight pin-pricking sensation that has been said to cause little discomfort.
During your consultation with us, we will give you an in-depth overview of what to expect, however, so that you are 100% sure that this procedure is right for you. In terms of aftercare, we instruct our patients not to disturb the treated area of the skin in any way so that we can obtain the best results when fully healed.
You may instantly notice the lifting effect a Collagen Thread Lift has, but what’s better, you will see the results only improve over the upcoming weeks.
