Aesthetic Trends of 2020: What to Expect

Table of Contents

Now that we’re saying goodbye to 2019, and saying hello to a whole new century, it’s only apt that we give all of our readers an idea of what to expect from us here at Aesthetics of Liverpool and in the aesthetics industry itself. This year, we have introduced such significant treatments into the UK, as well as our clinic such as The MINT Super Thread Lift, that we cannot wait to see what 2020 has in store for us.

If you are ready to find out what treatments and aesthetic trends of 2020 will be on the horizon next year, that’ll be sure to deliver you with anti-ageing solutions, continue reading this blog post.

Aesthetic Trends of 2020

  • Collagen Induction

The first and foremost aesthetic trend of 2020 that we are going to speak about is The SkinPen for Collagen Induction. From as little as 25, our collagen production begins to slow down; meaning our skin loses its form of being tight and supple. Collagen’s consistency is so imperative during the ageing process; a thinning of this protein causes fine lines, wrinkles, hooded eyelids, and even sagging skin, amongst other consequences.

In 2020, we predict that The Skin Pen will soar in the treatments for Collagen Induction. The Skin Pen works by a medically-assured micro-needling device puncturing the underlayer of the skin. This completely safe way of causing trauma to the skin cells stimulates the body’s natural healing process; thus, producing new collagen which works to help heal the ‘wounded’ area.

Even though there are many forms of micro-needling on the market, The SkinPen will be the most effective and safest version because it gives clients the chance to produce new collagen, an imperative protein of the skin without an invasive or surgical procedure.

  • Skin Peels

Secondly, let’s address skin peels; the entirely non-invasive treatments that refresh and rejuvenate the skin by breaking down the top layer. Skin peels are becoming increasingly popular in the world of aesthetics, but for 2020, we believe that The Cosmelan Peel will be in the lead. The Cosmelan Peel is worldly renowned for its depigmentation conquering abilities.

The main ingredients of The Cosmelan Peel are azelaic acid and kojic acid; both of these work to eliminate melasma and chloasma, which are both pigments of the skin that determine whether it’s darker or lighter. Not only does this peel even out the skins tone, but it can considerably improve the skin’s quality, too; from these acids also being well-known for reducing redness and pores, as well as being highly hydrating.

For those who require an even more significant change in their skin, The Dermamelan Peel is one notch superior from it’s added Titanium Dioxide which protects the skin from UVA and UVB radiation, while also taking into consideration the skin’s sensitivity. A fully replenishing skin peel for depigmentation, blemishes and scarring.

  • Contoured Lips

Even though voluminous lips have been raved about over the past couple of years, it looks like volume is out, and contour is in! During the end of this year, our clients have been asking for a sharp bordered lip shape and cupid’s bow with subtle volume; very natural-looking results that define the lips. And from this, we believe this will be the way forward for 2020!

  • Contouring Fillers

As you may already know, Juvederm has several versions of filler that are targeted at different areas of the face. In 2019, Volux was introduced for giving the jawline a highly defined look for up to 24 months. Being the longest-lasting Hyaluronic Acid-based Filler available, we know that it is going to hit the roof in 2020!

If you’re after facial contouring, volume and counteracting the environmental factors and ageing processes that have naturally shifted the facial tissue, Volux will be the injectable treatment for you. This specifically-formulated gel that has been added to the Juvederm’s face filler range promises to fully reconstruct the jawline.

  • The MINT Super Thread Lift

How could we miss out this game-changing treatment? The MINT Super Thread Lift is one of our newest additions to the treatment selection that we offer here at Aesthetics of Liverpool. This thread lift has been the most popular and in the most demand in 2019, and we are confident that it will stay this way in 2020.

What makes this thread lifting procedure so fantastic, you ask? The MINT Super Thread Lift’s barbs are manufactured entirely differently to the generic barbs that other thread lifts use; the moulded barbs are also arranged in a helical configuration, to hook on the skin tissue it is trying to lift in a 3-dimensional fashion. If you’re looking for a contoured and tighter facial structure, this innovative technology will be sure to transform it.

Our fully qualified and experienced medical team here at Aesthetics of Liverpool have been fully trained by the world’s leading surgeons in this procedure; making us stand out from any other clinic. We hold the most advanced techniques to ensure that our clients have minimal side effects and revolutionary results.

  • Baby Botox

Say goodbye to the usual Botox that thoroughly tightens the skin, leaving an almost frozen look, and say hello to Baby Botox. Baby Botox, although it doesn’t sound too appealing, is the usual Botox procedure but it gives a more subtle and delicate result. From the lousy reputation that Botox has had in the past, due to it distorting the appearence of one’s face, it is time that the industry introduced a treatment that is still just as effective, but more natural.

This procedure can still reduce the appearence of fine lines and wrinkles, but by a lesser amount of Botulinum Toxin being injected; it allows the client to look and feel natural as natural facial movements are not affected. Not only that, but it’s preventive components play a massive role in its popularity; baby botox rehydrates the skin and counters sun damage, for a wonderfully fresh, youthful look. Say hello to glowing skin in 2020!

  • Skin Boosters- Profhilo/Sunekos

Last but certainly not least, we have Profhilo. With its press attention in 2019, it won’t come as a surprise that this contemporary procedure will be flooding the industry in 2020. Profhilo is carried out by injections being inserted into both sides of the face, and it is highly advantageous if you’re trying to reduce the appearence of sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, while also wanting to define the facial features.

Giving this outstanding procedure a run for its money is Sunekos. Sunekos, although similar, is carried out using a lot lower concentrate of Hyaluronic Acid; giving much more natural results. Not only is it less concentrated, but the solution is also made up of amino acids too, which are ultimately nutrients for fibroblasts; these are the cause of new collagen and elastin. Whichever one you decide to be treated with, they will both be a hit in 2020.
