Microblading: achieve perfect brows

Do you too want the perfect brows?

We can all appreciate the time and effort that can go into our eyebrows while we’re applying our make-up, so what better way is there to save time and always have those fleeky brows than to get them permanently applied?

Microblading Explained

Microblading is another form of tattooing; but instead of an ordinary tattoo, it uses a hand-held blade rather than a machine to be able to accomplish the defined brow shape for each individual client. It also isn’t as permanent as the usual tattoo either; this is because the fine blades do not penetrate the skin as deeply as a machine would, resulting in the microblading application lasting anywhere between eighteen months and three years, rather than forever.

The blades that are used are much more precise, allowing our specially qualified technicians to work their magic on mimicking the natural direction and look of a client’s brows; meaning they can say goodbye to brow pencils and pomade.

This treatment is spaced out into two separate appointments; the second will be six weeks after the first. This is due to the fact that our skin needs to heal; like with any tattoo, but in this case, brows can lose some pigment and may need to be topped up again. In regards to pain, clients may feel some discomfort, but we take every measure we can so that our clients are as comfortable as possible during the application.

As microblading is still a form of a tattoo, there are strict aftercare actions every client will need to take so that they are left with their desired results. The treatment itself usually takes around one and a half to two and a half hours in total; depending on how full the client wants their brows. We like to take our time so that our clients leave our clinic overjoyed with their outcome that’ll last for months to years later.

They may look a little dark at first, but fear not, they will tone down and then if there is any loss of colour/pigmentation, that is what we will then correct after six weeks.

The Aftercare

The aftercare, as previously mentioned, is a crucial step to take within our microblading process because it determines the quality and effectiveness of our clients’ results.

The main steps we recommend you take are:

  • Cream application 2-3 times a day: This is to ensure that your brows are always hydrated and moisturised because if not, it can affect colouration.
  • Keep out of the sun! If you are out and about, you need to protect your brows even more so, hats, large sunglasses and sun cream should be your best friend.
  • Do not get your eyebrows wet for 24 hours; after that, you may use a cotton pad twice a day to wash them until fully healed.
  • Do not use any harsh facial creams, exfoliators or cleansers because this can affect pigmentation.

Why Microblading is so Popular

This must-have treatment has beautiful results and can completely transform a look; with or without any other make-up. You won’t have to worry about any product transfer either!

Usually, people will have microblading done if they are fed up with applying eyebrow product daily, but it is also great for anyone who is unhappy with their shape and would just need a top-up in certain areas.

It’s also very popular for eyebrows that have undergone ageing, being overplucked or are on people who suffer from any medical conditions, such as Alopecia and Psoriasis, which can also affect facial hair.

Our clinic’s specialists always do the utmost to ensure our customers are left feeling happy with their microblading results and our exceptional service here at Aesthetics of Liverpool.
