Everything You Need To Know About Injectable Moisturisers And Boosters

Table of Contents

Does your skin need hydration? Maybe you suffer from dry skin and are always wondering how you can hydrate your skin for more than just a few hours. Here at Aesthetics of Liverpool, we have the answer. Say goodbye to short-term hydration and hello to a longer-lasting treatment which will leave your skin plump, healthy and hydrated.

Injectable moisturisers and boosters work to rehydrate the skin, inside and out by distributing Hyaluronic Acid evenly across the area being treated. This instantly enhances the hydration levels, as well as remodels the skin. This means injectable moisturisers and boosters give a much more natural result, as opposed to the overly tight and intensified appearance of fillers.

Please keep reading for a more in-depth look into skin booster treatments and injectable moisturisers. You might find that these types of non-invasive treatments are what your skin needs to feel and look rejuvenated. With their highly hydrating ingredients and quick turnover, no wonder these procedures are becoming renowned worldwide!

The Benefits of Injectable Moisturisers and Boosters

In the underlayer of the skin, injectable moisturisers and boosters stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. These are two natural proteins of the skin which keep it looking smooth, supple and tight. From as early as 25, our natural production of these vital proteins starts to decline, which is why collagen inducing treatments are on the rise in the industry.

Injectable moisturisers and boosters are able to encourage this new production by causing pain-free micro-trauma to the dermis of the skin. Fibroblasts then work their magic in the process of healing, synthesizing collagen and leaving the skin crack-free, radiant and hydrated. What’s even better, if your skin doesn’t lack hydration, the injectables instead work to lock it into your skin, leaving you with a dewy look that can’t be naturally achieved elsewhere.

The runny consistency of the Hyaluronic Acid-based formula is not only great for distribution but also improves cell function within the dermis, subtly rejuvenating the skin. This makes it a fantastic treatment for trickier areas of the body such as the hands, neck and decolletage.

All of these benefits show that these treatments go above and beyond the usual skincare products that we see on the market. Although, that’s not to say that HA enriched skincare isn’t beneficial either; by choosing products with small HA molecules, you have better chances at the penetration of the skin, as opposed to just the top layer being taken care of. While more HA molecule enriched products lock in moisture by creating a ‘film’ over the skin.

Injectable Moisturisers and Boosters That We Recommend

Say goodbye to endless Google searches of ‘how to hydrate your skin’ and hello to outstanding long-lasting results. Dry skin is a thing of the past with injectable moisturisers and boosters, which can leave your skin feeling supple, soft and healthy. However, because of its fantastic benefits, some people have asked ‘are injectable moisturisers the same as Mesotherapy?’

To put it simply, the added vitamins, minerals, hormones, amino acids, antioxidants and plant extracts is how we tell the two apart. Due to these additions, Mesotherapy is able to treat other skin conditions such as depigmentation, scarring, cellulite, alopecia and stretch marks, amongst others. Not only that, but it even improves the texture of the skin, as well as its radiance by being injected further into the skin, as opposed to just below the surface like injectable moisturisers.

The HA levels are also different in the two. By having a softer consistency of HA, skin boosters are able to hold its results for longer and transform the client’s skin. The two injectable moisturisers that we’re going to touch upon today are Profhilo and Juvederm Volite; both being industry-leading and highly successful in their results.

Profhilo Injectable Moisturiser

Profhilo for Skin Remodelling is well known for its improvements in skin laxity and skin rejuvenation. With its 2ml concentration of Hyaluronic Acid, it is injected five times into both sides of the face. This is the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable HA-based product for treating skin laxity and is obtained after just two treatments, one month apart.

Not only will a client’s skin feel rejuvenated from extra hydration, but it’s remodelling abilities are able to counteract ageing with fine lines and sagging. Again, it stimulates FOUR different types of collagen and elastin while it slowly releases HA over a month-long period. Although it isn’t classed as a skin booster due to its tissue improvement abilities through this stimulation, Profhilo significantly improves the deeper hydration of the skin, making it an injectable moisturiser.

Juvederm Volite Injectable Moisturiser

This injectable moisturiser has been said to deliver smoothness, hydration and elasticity for up to 9 months. It requires more injections than Profhilo, but its results are long-lasting and fantastic!

Volite works to smooth out individual fine lines that are usually around the eyes, lips, back of the hands and also improve the skin’s texture as a whole. For optimum results, it is recommended that you have these injections done once or twice every month and then every six months to maintain the results.

Sunekos Skin Booster

The Sunekos skin booster is a new and innovative skin booster which uses both Hyaluronic Acids and Amino Acids to give the skin a youthful, smooth appearance. The treatment stimulates the production of collagen and elastin to keep the skin tight, supple and healthy.

Sunekos doesn’t just improve the skin’s appearance, but it also protects the dermis from ageing. This allows the treatment to have a longer-lasting, deep impact on the skin, keeping it looking and feeling younger. Sunekos improves the skin’s elasticity and health without altering the shape of the face. This means your features are enhanced rather than changed, giving you a more natural appearance.

We recommend having the treatment once or twice per month for a few months to boost your skin’s health and appearance. To maximise results, it is then advised you have a treatment every six months to maintain the tight, supple skin.
