We can help you say goodbye to your hooded eyes!
Plasma Soft Surgery is a modern procedure that we have introduced that allows us to rid clients of their hooded eyes. It isn’t precisely how it sounds; as this new, innovative version of the Blepharoplasty is entirely non-surgical, clients won’t be faced with the risks or downtime of a surgical procedure. As the surgery was the only way to address hooded, baggy or saggy eyelids as of recently; we are proud to offer this subversive treatment here at Aesthetics of Liverpool.
Hooded eyelids are commonly conceived negatively, and unfortunately, they are usually genetic and can get progressively more noticeable with age. Plasma Soft Surgery is a simple procedure that allows our clinicians to reduce and even remove the unwanted excess eyelid skin.
How Plasma Soft Surgery is Carried Out
Let’s put it simply… Plasma Soft Surgery is done by ionising gases in the air to create a small electrical surge which treats areas that are problematic aesthetically. This is all done without spreading unwanted heat to surrounding tissue by using a specially modified Plexr device that uses dots to change a solid to a gas; including skin cells.
The device is handheld and will target the area the client is having treatment on, and it will shoot out multiple shots of plasma. The procedure itself usually lasts between 45-90 minutes, depending on how big the area is. The Plexr technique is defined as “dynamic” because it allows our practitioners to ask you to open and close your eyes during the treatment.
The Benefits of Plasma Soft Surgery
We are bringing clients a contemporary solution to removing the excess skin that’s taking over their eyes. This procedure is so impressive that it can also correct upper and lower lip lines, aged neck areas and can even be used to get rid of blemishes! And finally, a solution that lasts; Plexr is permanent! Although it isn’t a miracle worker that stops you ageing, you will instantly look years younger after having Plasma Soft Surgery, and that won’t change.
As mentioned above, this procedure’s downtime is only a matter of days rather than the months of recovery that comes hand in hand with a Blepharoplasty. Which also means that the risk factors of Plexr are minor compared to the risks of traditional surgery. This is all due to the fact it is barely invasive; there is no cutting or removing of skin and fat, and it doesn’t modify the orbicular muscle of the eyelids.
However, we haven’t yet mastered a procedure that has no side effects, which are, unfortunately, inevitable. For hooded eye removal, the mild discomfort felt during the process is paired with mild side effects such as swelling, crusting, weeping and tenderness, to name a few. There are two types of patients that we refuse to treat with Plexr; women who are pregnant and patients with very dark skin as light pigmentation may develop after being treated.
What is the Process
Like with all of our treatments, we invite every client in for a consultation; at this stage, you’ll be able to ask any questions you may have about your Plexr treatment and confide in us about any doubts you may have too. It also gives our highly experienced and skilled clinicians a chance to explain the procedure and everything that comes alongside it, as well as ask the client what their goal is for the aftermath and what area they want the method to be focused on. We aim to give every single client their desired results.
Before the treatment, anaesthetic numbing cream will be applied to the area, and it will be left on for up to 30 minutes so that patients experience the least amount of discomfort possible. Past clients have said that the treatment’s device gives off some heat, which is where the discomfort is formed.
After the hooded eye removal, you may carry on with your day as you were! The swelling tends to begin the day after and usually becomes more visible on the second day. By the fifth day, the swelling should have become a lot less intense, but scabs may then form as the treated area begins to heal. These carbon crust/scabs should be left alone wholly. They will then fall off naturally after about a week. Clients are asked to keep the area clean, dry and out of the sunlight or any other source of heat at all times. After this process, clients are left to enjoy their rejuvenated and younger looking skin almost immediately!
