Skin Peels: Skin Rejuvenating Treatments

Table of Contents

Are you in need of a little skin pick-me-up? You may have devoured your body weight in food over the festive period, or dehydrated your skin while you partied the night away for New Year’s Eve; whatever the reason, your skin can take a real turn. Now that we’re in 2020, maybe it’s time to treat your desperate skin to some much needed TLC.

First things first, a good skincare routine that you implement at home which includes a cleanser and moisturiser will be sure to improve on your skin’s complexion; however, if you are on the hunt for a more drastic and permanent solution to having glowing skin, there are several treatments that you can have done. Here at Aesthetics of Liverpool, we have a wide range of skin rejuvenating treatments on offer which all improve on the skin; whether that’s to rehydrate it or clear blemishes.

In today’s blog post, we are going to focus solely on our skin peels. Our skin peels can work wonders for skin which needs thoroughly rejuvenating and refreshing; with their deep insertion of nutrients, you will be left with a clear surface that feels and looks years younger.

All of our skin peels work in the same matter in that they are applied in our clinic once the skin has been prepped by one of our clinicians, and then they work their magic after just a few short minutes; if a client’s skin is in need of a deeper strength, a peel will just be left on for longer. Their main aim is to penetrate and break down the top layer of the skin, leaving the underlayer, which is essentially a fresh and new surface area.

Continue reading this blog post for more information on each of the skin peels which we provide here in our Liverpool clinic so that you can decide which one would work best for the condition of your skin.

Skin Peels in Liverpool

The Perfect Peel

The first skin peel that we’re going to address is The Perfect Peel; this peel is the most popular when it comes to resurfacing and is one of the only peels that is left on for a significant amount of time. Not only are this peel’s results impeccable, but they are achieved after just one application; making this the ideal one-off peel for promoting new, smooth and clear skin.

This peel is made up of 6 acids, vitamins, minerals and the number one antioxidant Glutathione; this detoxifying ingredient keeps cells healthy by removing free radicals, toxins and heavy metals. With its painless application and it being suitable for all skin types and tones, this world-leading skin peel will bring you younger and healthier-looking skin in just a week.

PRXT33 Skin Peel

You may have heard of this one as being the skin peel which you don’t peel. This chemical peel is ideal for clients who are looking to reduce the appearence of lines and wrinkles, as well as clients who are wanting to tighten sagging skin. By working from the inside out, this peel stimulates the facial tissue deep in the dermis without causing damage to the surface; promoting the production of new collagen which in turn, keeps the skin tight, smooth and plump.

This is a Trichloroacetic Acid-based face peel which is highly famous for being a non-toxic chemical treatment which dries up the top layer of the skin. After weekly treatments over a 6-8 course, you will be left with skin that looks ten years younger.

Obagi Blue Skin Peel

Obagi Blue is well-known for its exceptional results in mild acne cases. This 20% Salicylic acid formulated solution is again, found in the family of chemical peels. For an overall gorgeous complexion that combats blemishes, as well as smooth and glowing skin after just one application, this peel is for you. For optimum results, we recommend a course of 4 to 6 Obagi Blue peels.

This peel is designed to be used in a course of six ‘low-burn’ treatments, it’s perfect if you can’t accommodate the week of downtime associated with one-off deeper peels.

Cosmelan Skin Peel

Now, onto the world-leading contender of all face peels; The Cosmelan Peel. This peel works to counteract depigmentation for an even skin tone that’s left bright and smooth. No matter your skin type, this peel will work for you; with it’s azelaic and kojic acid formula, it’s able to eliminate chloasma and melasma which both determine the tone of one’s skin; leaving it completely even.

Not only that, but both play a massive role in reducing the look of pores and redness! You will be delivered with such outstanding results from this deep peel, especially if you have it done every six weeks.

Dermamelan Skin Peel

Being of a similar nature to the Cosmelan, we had to address one of the most impressive depigmentation deep peels of the aesthetic industry. This peel, again, works to combat the production of melanin which is the culprit in one’s skin becoming darker toned. However, it is able to work deeper into the skin’s layers than the Cosmelan Peel, and as it has added Titanium Dioxide, it is a lot more soothing and less harsh on the skin; while also giving it protection against UV and UVB radiation.

Azelaic Acid Peel for Rosacea

This is one of the more targeting chemical peels that we offer here at Aesthetics of Liverpool. Azelaic Acid makes up 20% of this peels formula, and its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties treat skin conditions such as acne and rosacea tremendously. From cleaning the bacteria out of the pores and preventing future breakouts, this peel will leave your skin smooth, clear and luminous.
