Short Wave Diathermy
Short Wave Diathermy treatment involves the use of a fine tip needle. A Local Anasthetic cream is applied to minimise discomfort. An electrical current is passed though the spider veins using a fine, sterile needle. SWD has a 95% success rate after one treatment session.

What does a Wart look like?
Warts vary in appearance but can have the following characteristics:
- Round or Oval Shaped.
- Be firm and raised.
- Have a rough irregular surface similar to a cauliflower.
- Often develop on the knuckles, fingers and knees.
- Vary in size, from less than 1mm to more than 10mm (1cm) in diameter
Does the treatment hurt?
Some clients experience a mild discomfort during treatment, those with sensitive skin may benefit from the use of an anaesthetic cream to numb the area and limit discomfort.
How long does the treatment take?
The procedure is quick and straight forward and usually takes between 15-60 minutes depending on the number of Warts being removed
What happens after treatment?
After treatment clients are able to resume their day to day activities immediately and the treated area with be covered with a bandage or plaster.
